UEFA Licensed Coach to Run Session at SVFC

Andre Pacheco, owner and women's coach at Niagara International Football Club, is set to guest coach for the U14 Girls White on Thursday, Oct. 10.

“This was an opportunity I couldn’t pass,” said Pacheco. “We’ve invited Joe Funicello to do sessions with our girls, so when he invited me, I decided to accept right away. I plan on doing a technical warmup and progressing from there, providing a challenge for every player.”

“I’ve known Pacheco for some time now,” said Funicello, “and I'm excited to see what he can do with our girls. Aside from having a very good girls program in Canada, he has also worked with plenty of players around the world which gives him plenty of experience."

Pacheco recently obtained his UEFA C license and will commence his quest for the UEFA B license next year. After growing up in Bermuda, and moving to England for his college years, a mutual friend introduced Pacheco to Funicello. At that time, Pacheco was working as an agent trying to place players around the world. Pacheco gave up his agent aspirations and decided to explore the coaching world instead. He now has a growing program in Niagara and just became a partner with Celtic F.C. in Scotland.
