Miguel Argueta and Jose Carvajal have been announced as the co-head coaches for the U16 Boys White team.
“Having two head coaches for the U16 Boys White will help the team a lot,” said Joe Funicello, Director of SoccerViza Football Club, “Miguel and Jose have worked together (former teammates and currently co-head coaches for the U14 Boys White team), and create a great environment fundamentally, emotionally, and tactically.”
“I look forward to building a family with this team,” said Coach Argueta. “I want to develop every player into the best players they can be. My philosophy includes building up their technical skills and showing them how to play as a unit.”
In high school, coach Argueta won a State and FCIAC title with Norwalk High School. Throughout his senior year, coach Argueta was a captain and got selected to the ‘All FCIAC’ team. After high school, the former 'Bear' played at New England College for 3 years and played one year at Keene State College.
Jose Carvajal played his youth years locally in Norwalk, CT. He went on to play soccer at Norwalk High School and served as a captain. Coach Jose now attends UCONN and is also currently the co-head coach of the U14 Boys White team along with coach Argueta.
“I look forward to building great relationships with the players while also creating a contagious, hard-working environment where the boys can enjoy themselves,” said coach Carvajal. “I plan on developing a possession-oriented style of play with lots of goal-scoring opportunities. I want our team’s identity to not only be fun to play, but also exciting to watch. This team had similar players last year and did very well, so I look forward to picking up where they left off."
