Iovanni Robledo: Albertus Magnus College
“I’m looking forward to performing well at the next level with a great team,” said Robledo.
The Norwalk native who played for Norwalk High School is well known for his physicality while defending. His strong slide tackles and good weak side long ball make him a big presence on the field. In key scenarios, Robledo displays leadership and positivity towards his teammates.
“SoccerViza’s coaching really helped me out. My junior and senior year, coach Joe helped me get comfortable on the ball and gain composure in certain situations around the field.”
Lance Garcia: Western Connecticut State University
Also a former Bear, Garcia brought a different taste to the pitch. His technical abilities with his quick feet got him out of pressure and connected the defense to the offense.
“My communication, organization, and aggressiveness have helped me a lot over the years,” Garcia said. “SoccerViza has helped me push myself to new limits and get better overall.”
Getting playing time and making a great first impression as a center back is something Garcia said he expects to do throughout his first year of college.
Elias Pardo: Manhattanville College
If you’re a goalie, you won’t have time to blink when Pardo is coming at you. The 6’2”, mobile striker breaks down defenders by using his build, speed, and ability to finish.
“There was a point where I started to question how determined I was to continue playing soccer,” Pardo said. “My senior season at SoccerViza helped me enjoy soccer once again."
The former Brien McMahon Senator says his goal is to play in a NCAA tournament at the collegiate level.
Gianluca Trofa: Harvard University
After winning Valedictorian at Norwalk High School, “Gigi”, decided to take his talents to one of the nation's most prestigious schools. The former Norwalk High captain said SoccerViza FC helped him develop as a player and person the last couple of years.
“I’m grateful for the professional environment and top-level training,” said Trofa. “I’m also looking forward to the challenge academically and athletically at Harvard.”
With Trofa on the pitch, coaches could expect their team in safe hands.
Matthew Tanzer: Emory College
Tanzer is a talented left footed defender that specializes in disrupting the attacking play of the opposition. His hard work, distribution, and simple style of play make him a valuable player according to his coaches and teammates.
“I’m looking forward to the competition and working even harder,” said Tanzer.
The former honor student at Staples High School said SoccerViza FC’s technical training prepared him well for college soccer.
Austin Sholes: Washington & Lee University
Former first team all FCIAC and Connecticut senior bowl selection, Austin Sholes, is always aware of his surroundings. Finding his teammates and moving the ball while in possession is an area Sholes excels in.
“SoccerViza FC helped refine my skills for the college game,” said Sholes. “I am looking forward to the challenge and competition of collegiate soccer.”
Sholes can also fill in at outside back, making him a versatile player according to his coaches and teammates.
