Marcos Pena Headed To Costa Rica

With all youth sports shutting down here in Connecticut, high-level players will have to stop training in a competitive team environment until further notice.

With SoccerViza's professional branch and PRO Player Development Center in Costa Rica, it allows SoccerViza Football Club players to be in an environment where they can practice and continue to improve every week.

2005 Boy's goalkeeper Marcos Pena will be heading to SoccerViza PRO Player Development Center this January to practice and play with all of SoccerViza's professional prospects from around the world.

The SoccerViza Player Development Center in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica is a full-time professional player residency incubator.

Players essentially become professionals the minute they become part of the development center. Every day consists of training sessions run by professional coaches, room and board (with all meals included), weekly recorded games vs professional Costa Rican opposition, and monthly visits from numerous international professional scouts/clubs from around the world.

"This is something that is just not provided in the USA. Players practice 2-3 times a week here. It's the culture and understood, but everywhere else players are practicing everyday. This will be an amazing experience for Marcos to train with our PRO players and our PRO goalkeeper coach. Excited to have him." - Joe Funicello, SoccerViza Director and Founder

Marcos, from everyone at SoccerViza Football Club, GOOD LUCK!
